EC shortlisted for two national awards

We’re so excited to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in not only one, but two categories at the UK National Contact Centre Awards 2018!

Our amazing Operations Manager Keith Burnett has been shortlisted for Contact Centre Manager of the Year for his consistent quality of work and over-performance in his role.

Our fabulous HR Team have also been shortlisted for Support Team of the Year for their dedication, commitment and continuous drive to champion both our people and the contact centre industry itself.

To gain national recognition like this is a terrific achievement – we were up against more than 90 other businesses up and down the country and managed to make it to the final.

HR Manager Nikki Welsh said: “Having started off as the only member of the HR Team back in 2014, I am extremely proud at where we are today and how much we have accomplished, not only as a team but as a company too. We are such a small team, but made up of ex agents, drive, determination and passion, we are seeing incredible results. Both our sickness and attrition rates reduce month on month.

“I am incredibly passionate about people and self-growth and this is one of the main reasons I chose a career in HR. Having been an agent myself many years ago I understand the struggles agents go through to make their voice heard, and the potential barriers they’re often up against when trying to adopt a proactive working attitude to their role. I believe EC can shift these perceptions and myself and my team work incredibly hard to not only give our staff a voice but to try and eradicate the negative connotations that unfortunately still exist in the industry.

“We believe a job in a contact centre can be for life and not just a stop gap until something better comes along. Granted not every single person can be promoted into a senior role, but if we can give our staff a happy, motivated and rewarding experience at work, and encourage other contact centres to consider the same, then we’re a very happy team.”

The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner in London on 15th May. Watch this space…
