Adapting to Recruitment with Courtney Wiberg.
In the Spotlight, this week is Courtney Wiberg, our new Recruitment Executive. Courtney has proved even during a pandemic, acquiring the correct skills and attitude can source some leading talent and help people get back on their feet and into full-time employment.
Recruitment plays such a vital part in the running of our business, and the addition of Courtney to Nikki’s team has only strengthened our ability to find and hire the best talent.
‘My biggest accomplishment is getting people back into full-time employment.’Courtney Wiberg, Recruitment Executive.
For those who have yet to meet you, tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hey I’m Courtney, I’m 25 and born and raised in South Shields.
I am a happy, confident, and outgoing individual who loves a challenge. I specialise in customer service recruitment and my main role is to guide people through the full interview process and to be the friendly face/voice they see when beginning their employment at ECO.
You’ve only recently joined the recruitment team, what do you enjoy most about your new role?
The thing I enjoy most in my role is being the person to guide people through the recruitment journey, regularly speaking with the candidates throughout that process, and being the familiar face people see when joining ECO.
How have the past 12 months been for you?
Covid has been a great struggle for everyone, however; still being able to communicate with work colleagues over zoom/Skype has been a great experience.
My biggest accomplishment at work has been helping so many individuals get back into full-time employment.
Although I have years of experience within a call centre environment, this last year I have gained a wealth of experience within recruitment. I have learned to adapt to a new role and I am really enjoying it. I have adapted to a new way of doing interviews by doing more calls and zoom meetings instead of face to face.
Nikki Welsh, Head of Human Resources said;
“Courtney has been a fantastic addition to the team! She has gone over and above with everything she has been tasked to do. Since starting in recruitment she has achieved every target that has been set for her. No matter how many candidates or how short notice the intakes have been put in!”
Good luck in your new role and keep up the great work Courtney!
