EC Outsourcing Announce Partnership with Newcastle Eagles.
A North East-based outsourced contact centre has answered a call for help after offering to support the region’s most successful sports club, the Newcastle Eagles.
Last week EC Outsourcing, headquartered at Doxford Park, became aware that Newcastle Eagles had parted company with its main club sponsor.
And Managing Director Phil Westoby spotted an opportunity for two like-minded organisations to develop a mutually beneficial partnership.
“We’re delighted to be able to step in and support the Newcastle Eagles organisation for the remainder of the current campaign,” said Phil.
“After having a chat with Paul [Blake, Managing Director, Newcastle Eagles] and meeting some of his team it made complete sense.
“It was clear to me that there’s a real devotion to the men’s and women’s basketball teams but also to the wider community through the various initiatives running through the Eagles Community Foundation.
“The Eagles and EC share so many common philosophies around community, equality and success.
“This was a perfect fit for both parties and we can’t wait to see where this partnership goes.”
EC has offices in Boldon Colliery, Sunderland and Sheffield and specialises in acquisition and customer service solutions for a number of leading UK brands.
Its three centres have the capacity to house more than 1,500 staff and the firm provides innovative sales and customer service solutions to brands across the energy, gaming, financial and technology sectors.
The EC branding has been added to the backs of the Eagles’ BBL jerseys, shooting shirts and courtside as Newcastle chase a playoff berth and an invite to the post-season party.
And Paul Blake said: “We couldn’t have asked for a more positive response to the news that we’d parted company with our previous club sponsor.
“Phil and the team at EC were quick to step in and offer to help us after they heard we’d be supporting the Newcastle Foodbanks network on the front of the men’s BBL kit.
“It means a lot to know that they have our backs — quite literally — for the rest of the season and we’re pleased to welcome EC into the Eagles family.”
