It’s All About Meritocracy; Women In Contact Centre Management.
With International Women’s Day 2022 fast approaching, our team decided to shine a spotlight on our amazing women contact centre leaders, not because of #IWD22, but because it’s something built into the DNA of our business, and is celebrated 365 days a year.
Since EC Outsourcing was formed in 2013, women have played a key role in every part of our business success over the last 9 years, from Operations Director Kay Robson all the way through to our most recent team management appointment; Maeesha Laskar.
These appointments are, however, not for representation, social responsibility, or awards, these appointments happen for one very simple reason; merit.
As a business, our recruitment and promotion strategy has always been to create opportunities, for everyone, and reward hard work.
In 2022, we have promoted more women into management and leadership roles than ever before and this is based entirely on our colleagues’ overall performance and suitability for the role. Whenever we hire, we like to hire from within, and we open every role up to every person.
EC Outsourcing Director Richard Knox explains more on our latest figures and the companies ambition to continue this policy into the future.
“Currently, in the UK, women hold 34% of senior leadership roles*.
At EC Outsourcing 43% of our senior management team is made up of women, with 70% of our overall management team being led by women.”
“When the business was set up by Phil, we knew we had a really strong group of people on which to build our business, and that continues to the present day. Our recruitment team has always been tasked with finding the very best people for the job, regardless of their gender, and our internal promotions have also been based on that philosophy of meritocracy.”
“I love that we are flying the flag for women in leadership roles and now have so many women in key positions, bringing so much to the business and our people.”
We see the impact of these appointments being more than just beneficial to our business, we see these amazing women as inspiration to the other women and girls around them to become future CEOs, pioneers, and contact centre leaders of the future.
